Apparently my attempt to chronicle the 08-09 TV season didn’t go exactly as planned. Oh well, if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.
Let’s start off this new beginning with a midseason review of some of my favorite shows. Since I watch a lot of shows, we’ll have to keep each one to just a few sentences.
One Tree Hill: I have to say I’m a little disappointed with how this season has been going. As usual, the best scenes are the Naley scenes, but those are few and far between. Lucas and Peyton are growing on me. Love Brooke and Julian. Not so sure how I feel about

Fave Moment: The Scott Brothers playing walkie-talkies. Love my Naley in this scene.
Gossip Girl: Dan and Serena are boring me—btw, the sibling connection was way too strange a storyline. Can we please see more Vanessa and Nate? I love Blair and Chuck, but this back and forth is killing me. Can’t wait to see what happens when Chuck finds out about Blair and his uncle. GG needs to kick it up a notch; it’s been a bit of a snoozefest.
Chuck: The best part of the season so far was the appearance of Chuck’s ex. Even though you had to know she was a spy, it was still great finding out more about Chuck’s past. The chemistry between he and Sarah is great—I’m really pulling for them.
Heroes: As much as I love this show, I admit that it’s confusing as hell. It just feels like they’re doing too much. Mohinder has turned into a mad scientist. Evil dad came back from the dead and is dead again. Sylar was good, now he’s bad, he was a Petrelli son, now he’s not…huh? What pissed me off the most was when Sylar killed off Veronica Mars! How could he? RIP Elle, you will be missed.
How I Met Your Mother: This show continues to make me LMAO. Hasn’t disappointed once yet. My favorite ep so far? That’s a tough one. I
90210: Honestly, I can take it or leave it. I’m not really attached to the characters like I was with the first group. We’ll see what happens when Donna Martin makes her return. Is David Silver coming too?
Fringe: Last week’s ep was great. See Grams from DC again was awesome! At first I was little hesitant about a relationship evolving between Peter and Olivia, but after this ep, I think I might be OK with it. Each week brings a new, crazy, weird story, but that’s what makes it so interesting—keeps us on our toes. But the best part of this show is the comedy Walter brings each week. He’s great!
The Practice: I’m loving this season. Although, I’m a little pissed that
Smallville: I’ve watched every episode of this show since the first season, and I have to say that this is probably my favorite one. I’m over Lana and

Fave Moment: Lois and Clark’s almost kiss at Chloe’s wedding.
Supernatural: The season started off with a bang and for a while I was loving it, but lately I’ve found myself doing other things during the ep. Although, last week’s flashback ep was pretty entertaining. Hopefully we’ll get back to the Apocalypse soon.

Fave Moment: Dean being a Scream Queen.
Ugly Betty: So the rumor is that Betty may be cancelled. Although, I haven’t really been feeling this season, we can’t end before Betty gets her makeover and falls for Daniel—isn’t that what happened in the original telanovela? I am pleased with the growing friendship between Betty, Amanda and Mark. It’s nice, but where is Christina?
Grey’s Anatomy: Three words—no more Denny. I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan as much as the next girl, but come on! Let Izzy and Karev be happy. I understand Katherine Heigl wants to get out of her contract, but come on! I am happy with Cristina’s storyline with the hot army doctor. Everything else is pretty much crap. Sorry, I loved you once upon a time, but I’m just not feeling the docs of Seattle Grace anymore.
ER: Another show I’ve watched from the beginning. I cried when Pratt died. I cried when Abby left. I think I’m crying just because the whole show is going off the air. I really am loving Neela’s storylines and I have to admit, as much as I wanted her with Ray, I like the Aussie doc as well. I heard a rumor that George Clooney was coming back—yay! I’m so excited! I really loved the ep with Anthony Edwards. Can’t wait to see Dr. Ross and Carter back. Woohoo!
The Office: The beginning of tonight’s ep had me rolling on the floor. It was awesome! The Roast—so great! I’ve been having mixed feelings about this season’s eps, but I’m still being entertained. The love triangle with Andy, Angela and Dwight has helped take the pressure off the Pam and Jim union.
Fave Moment: Let’s Get Ethical!
30 Rock: The eps I have actually enjoyed the most have been the ones that didn’t have the big-name guest stars. The
Friday Night Lights: I’ve waited so long for this show to return! And I’m so glad Julie and Saracen are friends again. They are too cute for words. I’ve always pulled for Lyla and Riggins, so I hope they figure it out. The Coach and Principal—this should be interesting. They have such great chemistry—they make anything believable. It’s interesting to see Smash’s journey, but am I missing something? What happened to
Fave Moment: Julie and Saracen reconnecting.
Nip/Tuck: Just when I thought this show couldn’t get crazier—it pushes the bar once again. When I saw the professor’s wife from 90210 cut her boob off with an electric knife, I just sat there thinking, am I really sitting here watching her do this? C-R-A-Z-Y! Yet, I continue to watch and be mesmerized by this show. It’s like my dirty, secret pleasure on crack.
Desperate Housewives: I have to say this season is getting better. I think the addition of the new psycho on the street brings us back to the same feel as the first season. I’m hearing rumors that they’re going to off a housewife. Please don’t let it be Bree or Edie or Gabbie or Lynette.
Brothers & Sisters: I’ve been watching this show on and off. Still no feelings either way.
The Game: Lots of drama. Lots of laughs. Just what I need on a Friday night. The Mookie ep—too funny.
Samantha Who?: Where’d she go. Saw the first couple of eps, but then she disappeared.
The Real Housewives of
My Own Worst Enemy: Didn’t follow it regularly, but one day I had a marathon and now I’m really sad that NBC decided to cancel this show. It was really good and it was nice to see Christian Slater again.
Pushing Daisies: Another one of my fave shows getting the axe. I guess I’m just lucky ABC gave them a second season. I’m going to miss their weekly hijinks. I hope they come back so I can see the last eps.
Lipstick Jungle: I got into this show late—only watched a few eps last season. Not sure if it’s coming back, but I’d really like to see if everything turns out OK with the gals. Does Neco go with the sweet, young thing or the older, stronger man? That’s a tough one.
