The only shows on my schedule yesterday were HIMYM, Chuck and Heroes. For the lord-knows-how-long week in a row, I skipped out on Heroes. They're still on my Tivo, but I probably won't watch them until the season's over. It's a shame, really. I loved it so much the first season. I even have a T-shirt that says, "Save the cheerleader, save the world." Sadly, the show has tanked since that first season. Too many characters, too many storylines all over the place, too many loose ends. They even made my favorite character, Hiro, annoying. So sad. But...I will watch the eps I have because if anything, I am a loyal viewer. I stay with shows until the very end.
Anyway, here's what I thought of the two shows I did manage to watch yesterday:
Chuck: This is one of those goofy shows you just have to love. This week we found Chuck competing with a superspy for Sarah's affections. Poor guy just looked like a big doofus the whole time. I love watching this show, but I wonder how much longer it can keep up the main storyline. Eventually they have to figure out how to get the Intersect out of Chuck's brain. Once that's done, then what? Every week the poor guy's life is always in danger, but it's just not feasible to keep this up for another season. The writers better figure out a new spin for this show or people might lose interest. Of course I won't because I need to find out what happens to Chuck and Sarah.
Although, I did find the Tron poster reveal interesting. Who knew Chuck had his own investigation going on behind that thing?
HIMYM: Not one of the best, but still entertaining. It was nice to see Laura Prepon again. I'm still pissed October Road didn't get picked up. Can't wait till the season two DVD comes out with the recently taped finale. Anyway, back to the show at hand. Marshall forgetting his pants wasn't really that funny. Watching Barney laugh his ass off was. When they told the story, I sort of felt like Robin. That was funny? I agree, the chimp with the two tuxedos was funnier. For some reason, I wasn't really interested in the Ted/Karen story, but we'll see how this pans out. Will he find a yellow umbrella at her place? Is she the mother of her children?
In HIMYM real-life news, I think it's cute that Aly H. and Cobie S. are both pregnant. Their little babies can have playdates on set!
Sunday Bonus: Desperate Housewives was kind of blah, but my favorite scene was the dinner at Bree's. Tom and Lynette fighting over the same job was funny. At first I thought she was only doing it to light a fire under him, but then we saw that she really was after it.
Brothers & Sisters was full of crazy drama. Tommy was such an ass, Holly just needs to give up revenge on the Walkers, and Rebecca better watch it or she might be getting involved with another Walker boy. You can totally tell Ryan is staying just for her. I see him and Justin and fists flying. Should be good.
Tonight was a slow night. Reaper was the only show on my list for tonight, but I chose to watch Ocean's 11 instead. I've had a hard time sticking with Reaper, so I don't know if I'll ever get around to watching the ep. I think I may try to watch Trust Me after Ocean's. I wanna like that show because I loved Eric McCormack on Will & Grace and Thomas Cavanaugh on Ed, but I never can seem to remember when it's on. Eh, we'll see if I can hang with this show.
