Chuck: Guys, I Know Kung Fu

After watching the season finale, I'm 100% convinced it needs to be saved. We have to see Chuck become SuperChuck! I mean, come on, he knows Kung Fu now--and did you see Casey's face? Priceless!

Last season it was in danger of not being picked up, but NBC decided to give it another chance. Now, the future doesn't look so bright for our wannabe spy. I admit, there was a time when I was unsure whether or not this show was good enough to last. But after watching this past season, I know there are a lot more stories to tell. Here are my top 5 reasons for loving this show:

1) It's funny: Plain and simple--this show makes me laugh, and I love anything that makes me laugh. Yes, the concept is completely outlandish, but that's exactly what makes people want to watch it. For an hour on a Monday night we're transported to this world where a geeky IT guy saves the world with the help of only two secret agents. And he seems to get it done before his next shift at the Buy More, and sometimes, even during his shift.

2) Great characters: Every character on this show is entertaining. Even when the scenes aren't focused on Chuck, Casey or Sarah, we still find the show entertaining because they give the minor characters storylines that often parallel the main the one. Morgan's issues alone are enough to fill up a whole season: his battles with Emmett, Big Mike dating his mom, his quest to be a Benihana chef, the ups and downs with his girlfriend Anna, and keeping the Buy More misfits in line. And really, how can you not laugh at the stupid situations Lester and Jeff get themselves into? Watching them sing the Mr. Roboto song at Ellie and Awesome's wedding was hilarious! Whether they're being annoying or heroic, each one of these characters is distinct, memorable and so easy to love in some capacity.

3) Awesome guest stars: Ummm, hello, Scott Bakula?! Quantum Leap was such a great show! He was the perfect actor to join the cast as Chuck and Ellie's dad. The casting director could not have gotten it any better. Chevy Chase as the evil Bill Gates-like character was a great choice, too. If they get a third season, I can't wait to see who they add to the mix.

4) Sarah & Chuck: I love a good love story, which is why I love these two. She's so great at playing it cool and he's great at being the lovesick puppy. Even though he had great chemistry with other love interests in the form of Jordana Brewster and Rachel Bilson, it always came back to Sarah and Chuck. Now that he's been programmed with awesome fighting and spy skills, it'll be interesting to see how Sarah reacts to it. We need to see these two finally get their happily ever after.

5) Zachary Levi: Of course, with me, it always comes down to the guy. I absolutely adore this guy and his adorkable qualities. Whether he's sporting the Nerd Herd uniform or a tailored suit, he's definitely a hottie in that dorky sort of way. Translation: My kind of guy. Since NBC has already canceled the show of one of my other pieces of eye candy (Christian Slater-and it sucks that they didn't even give that show a chance), they have to at least give me this one.

The support for this show has been incredible. From Twittering to buying footlong sandwiches at Subway, the fans have really rallied to bring Chuck back. I guess we'll find out if all their hard work paid off. I read that NBC may announce its renewal tomorrow at the upfronts. I will definitely keep my fingers crossed!
